Membership Procedures

• Information will be available in VR field offices and on the FSSA website and the official ICOIL website at www.icoil.org plus CIL’s and other sites that may be available to potential members.

  • Re-consideration for past members to complete if they wish to be re-appointed.

• A short application of interest is submitted to the DSU & SILC Chairperson to provide consistency and formality
  • Complete short application
  • A letter inviting the candidates for the review/interview will be developed
• The application is provided to the membership committee for review and possible interview by the Committee
  • See formal application and letter of invitation for an interview
• Formal interviews may result in recommendation to the full Council for approval, or candidate could be appointed to a committee by the ICOIL chair. New member will be compensated for expenses once approval is received from the Governors office.  A recommendation to Governor’s office after Council approval.
  • Please complete all forms needed: background check and state police information release
  • Creation of an information summary sheet for each candidate.
• Final Approval for appointment to the council will come from the Governors office along with an invitation to attend meetings. A copy of the approval will be copied to the ICOIL chairperson.
•  Announcements of appointments will be provided to partners, CIL’s and other interested parties in addition to a letter of welcome explaining the meeting dates, locations, accessibility and other pertinent information
